Midwinter Marathon Apeldoorn
The Midwinter Marathon Apeldoorn holds its 52nd edition on 5, 6 and 7 February 2027. Registration opens on 14 October at 20:00 and there is no after-registration, including on the event days.
The event offers multiple race distances:
- 4 km Centraal Beheer Night Run
- 42 km Centraal Beheer Marathon
- 25 km Hollander Techniek 25 van Apeldoorn
- 10EM Decathlon 10EM van Apeldoorn
- 8 km Centraal Beheer Acht van Apeldoorn
- 500 m / 1 km Centraal Beheer Kidsrun
- HANOS Businessrun distances include 10EM and 8 km
Selected route details from the programme: the marathon includes about 900 metres off road across the Kootwijkerzand sanddrift. The 10EM runs through the wooded, hilly area around Apeldoorn and Hoog Soeren, with the highest point at the Kampsteeg at 100 metres above NAP. The 25 km is a certified, exact 25 km course through forests, heath and hills. The Night Run starts on a Friday evening at the Marktplein under the canopy.
The event provides live tracking via an app on Saturday and Sunday, produces aftermovies for the distances, operates a CheerZone that collects encouragement videos, and has previously sent start numbers by PostNL.
