General Information
The Middle Path Trail Race is a trail running event that is part of the Outrace Series and the Athletics Ontario Trillium Running Series. It takes place at the Kawartha Nordic Ski Club in North Kawartha, Ontario.
The organizing committee states its goal is to provide a race accessible to all athletes and to promote green initiatives. The event works with Kawartha Nordic and several sponsors.
Courses and Distances
The event offers several trail distances:
- 13 km: A single-loop course described as fast and winding.
- 26 km: A two-lap, 13km route with several aid stations and low elevation.
- 52 km (Ultra): Four laps of the 13km loop. Athletes have access to two aid stations per lap and a personal transition area for fuel.
- 2 km (Kids Run): An out-and-back route for children, where parents are welcome to join.
- 13 km (Team Event): A team race requiring a minimum of four athletes. The winning team is decided by combined total time.
