Mica Run for the Rescues
Mica Run for the Rescues is a dog-friendly trail fundraising event at The Ark in Denholm, Quebec on September 5, 2026. The event supports The Ark rescues and works with a local animal rescue organization, Les Anges Gardiens des Animaux. It welcomes runners, walkers and dog owners; bringing a dog is optional and dogs may be on-leash or off-leash.
The course uses true single-track trails with twists, rocks and roots. Trails are cleared of leaves before the race and intersections are marked with flags in different colours to show routes for each distance. There are no aid stations on the course; water is available at The Ark and the 10K route passes that water point on the second loop.
Every participant receives a custom engraved wooden plaque. Prizes are awarded at random so finish order does not determine prize chances. A post-race meal is provided with grilled burgers including vegetarian options, brownies, ice cream and beer.
