Melrose Running Festival
The Melrose Running Festival is a challenging trail running event held in Mt. Remarkable National Park, about three hours north of Adelaide. Established in 2017, it offers three race distances: 50km, 30km, and 15km, catering to various skill levels.
The course is known for its tough terrain and unpredictable weather, requiring mandatory gear for safety. The 50km ultra demands qualifying experience due to its difficulty. Runners receive medals upon finishing any distance.
The festival features aid stations, drop bag options, and a vibrant atmosphere with pre-race dinners and an after-party at Jacka Brothers Brewery in Melrose. The event was paused for 2026 but may return in 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
