About the race
A city road event in Ovar on 4 October 2026 organised by AFIS/Ovar : Atletas Fim de Semana. The event integrates several races and non‑competitive activities on certified and homologated courses.
The programme includes:
- 21,0975 km Meia Maratona (competitive)
- 10 km Corrida do Azulejo (competitive)
- Caminhada Cidade de Ovar (non‑competitive)
- Mini‑Maratona Correr pela vida / Não à droga (non‑competitive, ages 7 to 14)
Both the half marathon and the 10 km course are certified by a federation‑recognised entity and comply with World Athletics technical requirements. Electronic timing will be used for official classifications; only the competitive races are officially classified. Prizes are awarded by overall and age categories with specific tables for general and veteran places; monetary prizes have defined rules for payment.
Participation is open to federated and non‑federated athletes; foreign athletes require an invitation. The mini‑marathon is free but requires prior registration. Entries are submitted through lap2go.com and are personal, non‑transferable and final; no refunds are provided for withdrawals. Bib and kit collection takes place at the Salão Paroquial de Ovar on the days before and the day of the event. Medical coverage and assistance are provided by medical teams and the local volunteer firefighters. The organisation reserves rights on course, safety and schedule changes.
