About the race
The XXII Medio Maratón Puerto Vallarta 2026 is a road running event held in Puerto Vallarta on 15 November 2026. The event includes two distances:
- 21 km on the traditional Puerto Vallarta route.
- 5 km point-to-point course with an earlier return point.
Both distances start near Marina Vallarta and finish at Unidad Deportiva Municipal Agustín Flores Contreras, with the course using the central lanes of Av. Francisco Medina Ascencio heading north. The 5 km return point is located near the Sunscape hotel at approximately kilometer 2.5; the 21 km follows the established out-and-back route from the sports complex to the crucero de las juntas.
Registered participants receive a race shirt, bib number, timing chip, and a commemorative medal. Support along the course and at the finish includes hydration (water in bolis and sports drink), signage, portable toilets, and a post-race refreshment of donuts, fruit and ice pops. A baggage check service is provided. The event is organized with the participation of local private initiatives, the municipal government of Puerto Vallarta, and has the support of regional and national athletics associations.
