About the race
The 34th AzkoitiaAzpeitia International Half Marathon is scheduled for 20 March 2027 and takes place across the towns of Azkoitia and Azpeitia. The event combines an international field of elite athletes with popular runners on the same course and preserves an organisational focus on international participation. The previous edition combined a high sporting level with a strong street atmosphere created by volunteers, spectators and local neighbourhoods. That edition recorded winning times of 1:03:17 in the men's race and 1:07:31 in the women's race, and a new women's event record was set. Event practicals published by the organisers include classification lists for the general half marathon, the short race, the Gipuzkoa championship and handbike results. Distances and participant limits: - Media Maratón (limit 1.300 participants) - Carrera Corta (limit 700 participants) Registration is due to open in November 2026.
