About the race
La 40th edition of the Media Maratón de Córdoba is scheduled in Córdoba in late 2026. The event is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Córdoba and the municipal sports institute IMDECO. The original date of 29 November 2026 was moved to 13 December 2026 because the initial date coincided with national general elections; the change was made to ensure availability of security and service personnel. Registrations had reached capacity and a waiting list is available for places that free up.
The organizers opened a window for full refunds for those who cannot attend the new date; refund requests were available until Monday 12 October at 14:00. After refunds are processed, places from the waiting list may be offered until the event reaches its final capacity. The race maintains a recorded history dating back to 1985. Bib numbers are assigned after the registration period closes and after validation of submitted marks.
There is an option to request delivery of the bib by courier; that option is available from 1 September to 8 November at a cost of 10 euros. The event applies time limits at course checkpoints; published cutoffs include 5 km in 35:00, 10 km in 1:10:00 and a final cutoff at the finish of 2:27:00.
