About the race
Media Elche · Gran Premio Jainser is an established road race in Elche that offers two homologated distances supervised by the Real Federación Española de Atletismo. The event reaches its 54th edition in 2027 and keeps a long history that began in the 1960s.
The race uses newly homologated routes for both distances. The half marathon route covers the city and passes through part of the historic Palmeral, while the 10 kilometre course follows the first 10 kilometres of the half marathon route. The start is unified for both races next to Elche Parque train station and runners are released in several waves by pace to ease the start flow.
Practical race information such as results and classifications is published for each edition. The event takes place in Elche, a city with several sites listed within different UNESCO categories, including the Palmeral histórico and other cultural assets.
