Meals on Main Street 5K and Fun Run
Meals on Main Street presents its 6th annual 5K and 1.5 mile Fun Run in downtown Port Chester on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The course is staged from Colony Grill and runs down Main Street past the organization's building at 509 North Main Street, moving through the local community.
Event distances include:
- 5 km
- 1.5 mile Fun Run
- 100 yard Kids Dash for ages six and under
The event typically draws several hundred participants; the previous year saw more than 600 registered runners and walkers. Opening remarks include the National Anthem and the race start has been led by Port Chester Police Motorcycle Officers. A post-race celebration at the finish features live music, food and drinks, activities for children, pizza from Colony Grill with a ticket for a free beer for those 21 and over, Neri's Bakery and Bona Bona Ice Cream.
Proceeds support Meals on Main Street's work to provide over 200,000 meals during the upcoming holiday season. The organizer is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and relies on donor support. Entry fees are tiered by age with children three and under free and strollers welcome; entries are non-refundable with no deferrals or transfers.
