Meals on Main Street 5K and Fun Run
Meals on Main Street hosts an annual community running event in downtown Port Chester. The program includes a 5K and a 1.5 mile Fun Run plus a Kids 100 Yard Dash for children age 6 and under. The course starts from Colony Grill and follows Main Street past the Meals on Main Street building at 509 North Main Street.
The event features a post-race celebration with live music, awards, pizza from Colony Grill, a ticket for a free beer for participants 21 and older, Neri’s Bakery, Bona Bona Ice Cream, and activities for children. Awards are given to the overall top three male and top three female finishers by gun time; there are no age group awards.
Entry fees are listed by category: children age 3 and under are free (strollers welcome), students age 18 and under pay $20, adults age 19 and older pay $40, and the race day fee is $50 for all participants. Registration is non-refundable; there are no deferrals or transfers.
Packet pick-up is available at Meals on Main Street (509 North Main Street, Port Chester) and at Colony Grill (35 Abendroth Avenue, Port Chester). The event is organized by a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and directs proceeds to support the distribution of over 150,000 meals during the upcoming holiday season.
