MCTF Run The Track - Portsmouth
MCTF Run The Track in Portsmouth is a track-based event offering measured 5 km and 10 km races on a proper athletics track. The event is scheduled for Sunday 23rd August at Mountbatten Centre Athletics Track, Portsmouth PO2 9QA, and entries close 23:59 on Saturday 22nd August.
Races use deliberately small fields and heats are organised by expected finishing time so competitors run with similarly paced athletes. Timing includes personal split-lap chip timing for each lap and overall chip timing for a single finish time. Every finisher receives a bespoke medal designed for the series.
The event is part of a series held across the country in late summer and autumn. The track setting removes traffic and route navigation concerns, providing laps on a flat athletics surface.
