McAllen Triathlon
The McAllen Triathlon takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at McAllen Municipal Park, 1921 N Bicentennial Blvd, McAllen, TX. The event pairs a short-course triathlon with the concurrent Arbor Day Festival on site.
The race course consists of three segments:
- 250 m swim at the Municipal Pool
- 20 km out-and-back bike from the pool to SH 107 via Bicentennial Boulevard
- 5 km run finishing back at the Municipal Pool
Entry is limited to participants aged 18 and older. The registration fee is $105.00 and online entry is the only accepted method; registration closes on Friday, November 7, 2026, or when the event reaches capacity. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled for reasons beyond the organizer's control, entry fees will not be refunded. Participant-to-participant and event-to-event transfers are allowed up to 14 days before race day.
Registered participants receive a participant shirt, finisher medal, swim cap, and a runner timing chip. Awards are presented for overall male and female finishers and for age groups from 18–24 through 70+, with placements for first through third; runners will be recognized with award plaques.
The Arbor Day Festival at the park includes tree giveaways, environmental education booths, local vendors, live music, children’s activities, food trucks, and community organization showcases. A percentage of event revenue will be contributed to Keep McAllen Beautiful. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
