City of Maywood OPEN STREETS & 5K Run/Walk
The City of Maywood OPEN STREETS & 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Atlantic Avenue and Randolph Avenue, 6161 Atlantic Ave, Maywood, CA 90270. This is the city’s first ever Open Streets event and first ever 5K, organized in partnership with the City of Bell, City of Bell Gardens, and the City of Cudahy.
The event pairs the 5K run and walk with family friendly post-race programming including local vendors, food, community activities, and music. Participants receive a race t-shirt, participation medal, chip timing or run bib, and a swag bag as part of the listed race package.
Registration opens Monday, April 13, 2026, and remains open until capacity is reached. Registrations submitted after Monday, May 25, may not be guaranteed a race day t-shirt due to limited sizes. Race fees are $10.00 for Maywood residents and $20.00 for non residents. Transaction fees for online registration are paid by the participant.
Race bib pickup is scheduled for Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19 at Maywood City Hall, 4319 Slauson Ave, Maywood, CA 90270, with an additional pickup opportunity on the morning of the event. Road closures and no parking zones will be in effect in and around Maywood on the morning of June 20; affected streets include Randolph Street at multiple cross streets and sections of Atlantic Boulevard near 61st Street.
