About the race
Mayrhofen Ultraks Zillertal 2027 is a multi-day trail running event in Mayrhofen, Austria, held on 3 and 4 September 2027. The organiser is JACARANDA Sport Consulting GmbH and the event base is Marktgemeinde Mayrhofen, Hauptstraße 409, 6290 Mayrhofen.
The event offers several race options with differing distances and formats:
- 101 km (Z101+), 7,600 m ascent, highest point 3,123 m
- 70 km (TUX070)
- 50.9 km (RK50)
- 30.1 km (MUZ30)
- 14.5 km (MUZ14)
- 8.5 km (Mountopolis Vertical)
- 7 km (Sprint)
- 450 m (Sparefroh-MiniUltraks categories)
Route highlights are described for each distance. The Z101+ follows high alpine trails through the Zillertaler Alpen and reaches the Schönbichler Horn and Pfitscher Joch area. The TUX070 starts at the Hintertux glacier parking area, includes the Frauenwand and Tuxerjoch, and links with the RK50 sector toward Mayrhofen. The RK50 and MUZ30 traverse the Penken and Rastkogel areas and finish through Mayrhofen town centre. The MUZ14 uses trails from the village centre toward Stilluppklamm. The Mountopolis Vertical covers 8.5 km with 1,250 m ascent to the Penkenbahn bergstation. The Sprint is a 7 km town-centre loop with a short uphill and varied downhill sections.
