About the race
Mayrhofen Ultraks Zillertal 2027 is a two day trail running event in Mayrhofen, Austria, held on 3 and 4 September 2027. Races take place on mountain trails in the Zillertal and Tuxer Alps and include technical terrain, long ascents and alpine passes.
The longest course, the Z101, covers 101 km with about 7,600 m of ascent and reaches a highest point of 3,123 m. The TUX070 starts at the Hintertux glacier parking and crosses the Tuxerjoch and main ridge of the Zillertal Alps before joining part of the RK50 route into Mayrhofen. Other races run over local peaks, plateaus and village trails and finish through the centre of Mayrhofen.
Distances include:
- Z101: 101 km, 7,600 m ascent, highest point 3,123 m
- TUX070: 70 km, starts at Hintertux glacier parking
- RK50: 50.9 km, route over Penkenplateaus and Rastkogel
- MUZ30: 30.1 km, ascent to Penkenjoch and return via Mariensteig
- MUZ14: 14.5 km, starts in village centre via Stilluppklamm
- Mountopolis Vertical: 8.5 km, 1,250 m ascent to Penkenbahn station
- Sprint: 7 km, loop through Mayrhofen centre
- Mini Ultraks: 450 m children’s rounds
