Tempe May the Fourth Be With You 5K
The May the Fourth Be With You 5K is an annual running and walking event held at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, Arizona. Organized by StartLine Sports LLC, this event celebrates Star Wars Day and is now in its third year. The race takes place on a course within the park, and participants can choose between an in-person attendance or a virtual participation option.

- Virtual Run
The race is chip-timed, providing real-time results and photos. For those attending on race day, age group awards are presented to the top three finishers in several categories, ranging from ages 8 and under to 80 and over. Amenities for participants include a custom dri-fit shirt, a finisher's medal, and pre- and post-race refreshments such as granola bars, fruit, water, and Gatorade.
The event accommodates various participants by welcoming wheelchairs, strollers, wagons, and leashed pets. However, the use of bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, or motorized devices on the course is prohibited. The race proceeds regardless of rain or shine. For the virtual option, participants may complete their distance at any location, including on a treadmill or outdoors, and will have their shirt and medal mailed to them following the event date.
