Event Overview
The Phoenix May the Fourth Be With You 5K is a Star Wars Day celebration held at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, Arizona. Participants can choose to run or walk the course, which is hosted by StartLine Racing. The event is open to participants of various mobility levels and includes specific allowances for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. Leashed pets are also permitted to join participants on the course.

Participant Amenities and Awards
Those participating in the event receive a custom dri-fit shirt and a finisher's medal. A costume contest takes place on race morning, with awards presented for the best-dressed participants. For the timed race, age group awards are provided to the top three male and female finishers in groups ranging from 8 and under to 80 and over. Pre-race and post-race snacks, including water, fruit, and granola bars, are available for attendees.
Course and Timing Details
The course is chip-timed, and results are provided in real time via a mobile app. The route is subject to change based on safety assessments by the race director. While strollers and wagons are welcome, the use of bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, or motorized devices is prohibited.
Virtual Option
A virtual run is available for those who cannot attend in person. This option allows participants to complete the distance at any location and pace.
