Mary Lou Triathlon - Weippe, Idaho
The Mary Lou Triathlon takes place on June 14, 2026, at Deyo Reservoir outside Weippe, Idaho. The event was previously named the Bald Mountain Triathlon and was held at Bald Mountain Ski Area in 2020. It moved to Deyo Reservoir in 2021 and 2022 and was renamed in honor of the Deyo Family matriarch in 2023.
The course uses a single transition area. The swim starts from a sandy beach and crosses 300 yards before athletes change to mountain bike gear. The bike route leaves the reservoir along Schmidt Mill Road, continues to 3-mile Road and Fidler Road, then follows a forested trail back to 3-mile Road and the reservoir, for approximately 13 miles. The run follows a well-travelled 2.2 mile trail around the reservoir.
