Marxa del Garraf
The Marxa del Garraf is the 31st edition of a long-distance walk that links the mountain and the sea. The route runs mainly through the Massís del Garraf and descends to the village of El Garraf on the coast, where participants may choose to bathe.
The main route covers 46 km with an accumulated elevation gain of 2,720 m (positive gain +1,360 m). The event is not a timed race but has a maximum allowed time of 13 hours to complete the route. A shorter track of 23 km is also available.
Aid and logistics are provided by about 125 volunteers at control and refreshment points. All refreshment points offer water and food; the first refreshment point is located at about 10 km from the start. The itinerary is marked with ribbons, vertical signs and flour arrows. The route crosses a natural area and participants are expected to take care of the environment.
The start and finish are at Plaça de Jaume Balmes in Gavà (in front of the town hall). The event date is Sunday 8 November 2026. The event is part of the Catalan Circuit of Resistance Walks and is organized as a non-competitive individual challenge. Registration closes on 25 October 2026 or when the quota of places is filled; the maximum number of entries is 1000. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
