Marwell 10K
The Marwell 10K is a road race held at Marwell Wildlife zoo in Owslebury, near Winchester, Hampshire. The event is organized in partnership with Hedge End Running Club and supports the conservation of an endangered species; the specific focus for the year is protecting Amur tigers in Bhutan.
The Course
The 10 km route is an undulating road course that starts and finishes within Marwell Zoo. The course begins at the zoo, goes out into Owslebury village and the surrounding countryside, and returns to finish with a loop through the zoo grounds. It includes a hill into the village.
Event Details
The event centre is at Marwell Wildlife on Thompsons Lane in Winchester. Participants must be aged 15 or over on race day. The event will be held under UK Athletics rules.
Participant Perks
All finishers receive a bespoke, tiger-themed medal. An optional tiger-themed t-shirt can be purchased during registration. All runners receive free entry to Marwell Zoo after the race.
