About the race
The Maruleng Mayor's Marathon is scheduled for 26 September 2026 at the Louis Calvin Moagi Sports Complex in Maruleng, Limpopo. Online entries open on 1 July 2026. Entry fees start from R100 and a temporary license is available for R60.
Available race distances and entry fees:
- 21.1 km : R200
- 10 km : R150
- 5 km Fun Run/Walk : R100
The first 200 paid entries receive a free T-shirt while sizes last. Race number collection takes place on 24 and 25 September 2026, with additional collection on race day. A prize purse of R50 000 is listed for the event. Refreshments will be available at the venue.
The event is conducted in accordance with the rules of Athletics South Africa, World Athletics, and Limpopo Athletics. Temporary competition licenses are offered for registrants who need them. Entries will also be accepted on race day.
