Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE
Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE is an annual road race first held in 1979. The 47th edition covers 20 km and is traditionally organised on the last Sunday of October.
The course starts near the CEPAC Velodrome in Marseille and finishes in Cassis via the col de la Gineste. The route runs through the Calanques National Park between the bay of Marseille and the bay of Cassis. The event is registered in the French Athletics Federation schedule and carries an international FFA label. For five years the race has been awarded the Silver Label by the international athletics authority.
The race is open to licensed and non licensed runners born in 2008 or earlier. It is described as a popular event that gathers around 20,000 participants and mobilises more than 800 volunteers for safety, logistics and arrival services.
