About the race
Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE is an annual road race of 20 km linking Marseille to Cassis. The 2026 edition is the 47th and takes place in late October. The course runs from the CEPAC Velodrome in Marseille to Cassis via the Gineste, through the Calanques National Park between the bay of Marseille and the bay of Cassis. The event is registered in the French Athletics Federation schedule with an international label and has been awarded the Silver Label by the international athletics federation.
The event gathers around 20,000 runners of many nationalities and ages, from 18 to over 80, and combines popular, festive and competitive elements. Created in 1979 with just over 700 starters at the first edition, it is co-organized by SCO Ste-Marguerite and the city of Cassis. Nearly 800 volunteers support the event throughout its various sectors, including safety, supplies, locker rooms, bib distribution, the start and the finish. Marseille-Cassis takes place traditionally on the last Sunday of October and is presented in the organiser’s materials as a long-standing road race in the regional and international running calendar.
