2026 Maricopa Memorial Day 5K
The Maricopa Memorial Day 5K takes place at Copper Sky Regional Park in Maricopa, Arizona. This annual event is held over Memorial Day weekend and utilizes a course situated around the Copper Sky Recreation Center. The start and finish lines are located at the large ramada adjacent to Copper Sky Lake, positioned just east of the recreation building.
Participants can choose to run or walk the designated distance:
- 3.1 Miles
This is a chip-timed competition where all participants receive a bib equipped with a timing chip. Registered runners and walkers receive an event shirt and a custom finisher medal upon completion. Post-race snacks and drinks are provided for participants at the conclusion of the event.
The event includes an award ceremony following the race. Trophies or recognition are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are also distributed to the top three male and female participants in the youth category (17 and under), open category (18 to 59), and masters category (60 and over). Additionally, the event recognizes the first-place male, female, and co-ed teams, with rankings determined by the combined times of the runners.
