Margaret River Ultra Marathon - 9 to 10 May 2026
The Margaret River Ultra Marathon took place in the Margaret River region of Western Australia on 9 to 10 May 2026. The event offered multiple race formats across coastal and wine-region trails, including options for solo runners and relay teams.
Race distances included:
- 80 km ultra solo or in relay teams of 2 to 5 runners
- 42 km trail marathon solo
- 2 km kids race
Course locations were specified by start and finish points: the 80 km ultra ran from Hamelin Bay to Howard Park, the 42 km marathon ran from Yallingup to Howard Park, and the kids race was at Howard Park. The event attracted a broad range of participants, from elite trail runners to newcomers and older first-time entrants.
Field limits were applied: the 80 km ultra allowed up to 400 solo runners and 250 teams, while the 42 km marathon allowed up to 400 solo runners.
