Margam Wild Trail Runs 2027
The event returns to Margam Country Park on 23 May 2027. It takes place within the country park at Margam, SA13 2TJ, with a what3words reference provided by the organiser.
Three course distances are offered:
- 5 km scenic lap around the Castle.
- 10 km route with a fairly flat start, a steep ascent, then a long descent.
- Half Marathon incorporates the 10 km route before turning along the base of the summit and climbing to the park viewpoint.
The event is canicross friendly. One controlled dog per runner is permitted. Parts of the 10 km and Half Marathon include rocky descents and gravel paths, which may affect runners with dogs.
Live chip timing is provided by RESULTSBASE.NET. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a drink and a snack. An exclusive event T shirt is available to purchase for £14 at entry. Limited on-site parking is available for £4.00.
Ticketed prices listed by the organiser are approximately £24 for the 5 km, £26 for the 10 km and £28 for the Half Marathon. The event is organised by Wild Deer Events and uses route maps within Margam Country Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
