March For The Fallen - Satellite Event
This satellite event at the Cambridge Springs Readiness Center on September 19, 2026 brings together military and civilian participants to honor fallen service members. The event is held rain or shine and is organized by the Pennsylvania Army National Guard with KRV Veterans Relief. Registration carries no fee.
Distances offered include:
- 26 miles heavy or light
- 11.2 miles heavy or light
- 5k run or walk, beginning and ending at the armory in downtown Cambridge Springs
Heavy categories require participants to ruck with a minimum 35 lb pack and a mandatory pre-event weigh-in at the Cambridge Springs Readiness Center on the day of the event; post-event weigh-in applies only to top finishers and lack of a recorded pre-event weigh-in can disqualify a participant from awards. Light categories do not require a weighted pack to participate, but a minimum 10 lb ruck is required to qualify for awards. Transportation is provided to the start sites for the 26- and 11.2-mile routes. The longer routes follow public Route 97, include notable elevation changes and varied scenery, and remain open to traffic, so spectators should exercise caution along the route.
Bibs are issued at check-in, must be displayed on the back and visible on course, and must be returned at the finish. Packet pickup is available the day before and on the day of the event at the Cambridge Springs Readiness Center.
