The Maratona Internacional de Foz do Iguaçu Sesc-PR is scheduled for 27 September 2026 and reaches its 16th edition. The event offers multiple race formats and organized support along the course.
Distances:
- 42k Marathon starting at the Mirante do Vertedouro in Itaipu Binacional and finishing at the Cataratas do Iguaçu
- 21k Revezamento 42/2 run in pairs with each athlete covering 21 km
- 10k Race from the park entrance to the Cataratas do Iguaçu
- 5k Short race option
The marathon route goes from the Mirante do Vertedouro inside Itaipu Binacional, passes through the city commercial center, and finishes at the waterfalls. The course includes points of hydration, chemical toilets, and on‑site medical service. Altimetry is indicated as 164 m with an approximate 2% proportion. The event provides hotel transfers from partner hotels to the start area for competing athletes. Registration is free for the category Athletes with Disabilities; other categories have published entry fees for workers in commerce and the general public.
