The Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich is held in Valencia, Spain. The event features a 42.195 km course that is completely flat and situated at sea level. The route starts at the Plaça de la Marató and concludes on a walkway over the water at the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias).
The course discurs through large avenues and the historic city center, passing various tourist attractions. Numerous animation points are located along the route to support the participants. The event holds the World Athletics Platinum Label and has been recognized as the best marathon in Spain by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
Participants can visit the Expo 42K at Feria Valencia on the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday prior to the race to collect their bib numbers and runner's bags. The marathon also serves as a qualifying event for the Abbott WMM World Age Group Rankings.
