Presentation
The Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich is a city marathon held in Valencia. The event holds a World Athletics Platinum label and has been recognised by the national federation as the best marathon in Spain. The course has recorded a time of 2:01:48 in 2023 and 2:14:00 in 2025, marks that figure among the fastest in the discipline.
The route starts at the Plaça de la Marató and finishes on the footbridge over the water at the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. The course is completely flat and at sea level. It runs along large avenues and through the historic centre, passing principal tourist attractions, and includes numerous points of on-course animation.
The race weekend includes the Expo 42K at Feria Valencia, where runners collect their bib and race bag; the expo is held on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before the race. Typical temperatures at the time of year are reported between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius.
Organisers include S.D. Correcaminos and the Ajuntament de València. The event is part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors ranking system by age group.
