The Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich is a major road running event held in Valencia, Spain. The course is officially recognized for its speed, currently ranked as the fourth fastest marathon in the world with a record of 2:01:48. It holds the World Athletics Platinum Label and has been designated as the best marathon in Spain by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
The event features a 42 km course that is completely flat and situated at sea level. The route begins at the Plaça de la Marató and concludes on a walkway over the water at the City of Arts and Sciences. The track passes through large avenues and the historic city center, including major tourist attractions. Numerous animation points are located along the route to support the participants.
