About the race
Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich is an international marathon held in València. The next edition is scheduled for 6 December 2026. The event is organised by SD Correcaminos together with the Ajuntament de València and holds a World Athletics Platinum Label.
It has been recognised by the national federation as the Best Marathon of Spain. The course starts in the Plaça de la Marató and finishes on the footbridge over the water in the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. The route is completely flat and at sea level, and it runs along wide avenues and through the historic centre of the city. The typical temperatures for the race period are reported between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius.
The course includes numerous points of public animation along the way. Notable performance marks recorded at the event include a 2:01:48 in 2023 and a 2:14:00 in 2025, listed among top marks in the sport. The race is qualifying for Abbott World Marathon Majors age group rankings. Expo 42K at Feria Valencia is the location for bib and race bag collection and takes place the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before the race. Each year the marathon designates an entity solidaria that receives voluntary donations from registrations and an annual cheque from the Z Zurich Foundation.
