X Relay Marathon Guadalajara 2026
The event is a team relay marathon organized by the municipal sports council in Guadalajara. It is scheduled for Sunday 8 November 2026 and is open to national and foreign athletes aged 18 or older on the day of the event, with no upper age limit. Teams are made up of four runners who together cover the official marathon distance of 42.195 km.
Each team member runs an approximate leg of 10,000 to 12,000 meters. Teams use a returnable ankle chip contained in a wristband that serves as the official relay baton; this device must be carried and transferred within the transition zones and handed to the organizing committee after the team crosses the finish line. All four team members wear the same official bib number on the chest.
Categories are defined by the sex composition of the team: female, male, mixed 2+2, and mixed 3+1. Registration is open for up to 850 teams (maximum 3,400 participants) and is available through the event's official portal and at the event expo on the two days before the race. The entry fee per team is 1,600 MXN; elite athletes may request fee exemption subject to availability and prior registration.
A total prize pool of 84,000 MXN is allocated across categories with monetary awards for first, second, and third places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
