2nd Maratón Internacional Elche-Alicante 2026
The Maratón Internacional Elche-Alicante is a long-distance running event organized by Club Atlético Montemar in collaboration with the City Councils of Alicante and Elche. The race features a single distance:

The event follows an official circuit homologated by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA). The course connects the two cities, starting in Elche at Calle Diagonal del Palau, next to the Altamira Palace. The finish line is located at the Port of Alicante (Muelle 12). While the physical distance between the two cities is approximately 28 kilometers, the course is designed to meet the official marathon length.
Participants have access to various services, including a wardrobe service. Mobile wardrobe trucks are stationed at the Candalix Parking in Elche before the start and move to the finish area in Alicante, located at the Paseo del Puerto Viejo near the Casino Mediterráneo. Shower facilities and transport options are also provided.
A Runner's Expo takes place at the Paseo de la Estación in Elche on the Friday and Saturday preceding the race for bib collection. For transportation on race day, shuttle buses operate between Alicante and Elche. These buses depart from Calle Juan Bautista Lafora in Alicante to take runners to the start line, and return services are available from the Postiguet Beach parking area back to Elche after the race.
