About the race
Maraton Dębno is presented as the oldest marathon in Poland. The 52nd edition takes place in Dębno on 18 October 2026 and is organized by the city and commune of Dębno with the Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji in Dębno and Dębnowski Ośrodek Kultury as co-organizer.
The race is a certified marathon of 42.195 km run over four laps: two laps on a Dębno–Dargomyśl–Cychry–Dębno loop and two laps on streets within Dębno. The course surface is mainly asphalt (about 98%) with a small section on cobblestone (about 2%). The route has official timing controls every 5 km.
Aid stations and services are placed along the course. Feeding stations with water, isotonic drink, fruit and sugar are located at several kilometre points; additional refreshment points with water only are also provided. Portable toilets will be available near each feeding point. The route does not allow personal drop bags or athlete-provided nutrition points.
Participation rules include a minimum age of 18 years and electronic verification in the race office on the days before the race or the option to receive the start package by post within Poland. The event accepts up to 2,500 participants; registration runs until 18 October 2026 with tiered entry fees set in the regulations. Entries may be transferred under the stated conditions and partial refunds are permitted within the stated deadline.
Classifications include general and women overall, several service and municipal championship categories, and age-group rankings. Prize money for general places I to VI is specified in the regulations, with additional financial bonuses for breaking the course records and other special awards.
