NN Marathon Rotterdam
The NN Marathon Rotterdam is an international running event held on a flat course in Rotterdam. It features the marathon distance, which also serves as the NK Marathon (Dutch National Championship). The event attracts tens of thousands of participants and hundreds of thousands of spectators.
The event spans a full weekend with multiple walking and running distances:
- NN Marathon Rotterdam: 42.195 km
- 1/4 Marathon (10 km Rotterdam): 10 km
- City Run: 4.2 km
- NN Kids Runs: 1 km and 2.5 km
- The Marathon Rotterdam Walk: 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km
- Your Marathon Challenge: 1.195 km (final part of a larger challenge)
- Business Duo Marathon: 42.195 km for 2 people
- Business Relay Marathon: 42.195 km for 4 people
Registration for the full marathon is handled via a random selection from pre-registrations. For the other distances, participants can register directly. The event utilizes electronic chip timing for all running distances except the walking events. Water, sports drinks, and fruit are provided at various care stations along the course and at the finish. Participants receive a medal upon finishing, and an engraving service is available for a fee.
