Marathon International du Beaujolais 2026
The 22nd edition of the Marathon International du Beaujolais is scheduled for November 21-22, 2026, in Villefranche-sur-Saône and surrounding areas. This event features a variety of running and walking disciplines through the vineyards, villages, and castles of the Beaujolais region.
Participants can choose from several timed and non-timed events:
- Marathon (42.195 km): Starts in Fleurie and finishes in Villefranche-sur-Saône.
- Semi-Marathon (21.1 km): Restricted to participants born in 2009 and before.
- 13 km du Rhône: Open to those born in 2011 and before.
- Trails: Distances of 43 km, 24 km, and 15 km starting in Gleizé.
- Rando Solidaire: A 12 km non-timed solidarity walk.
- Family Marathon: A non-timed event for families with variable distances.
The event includes festive activities such as the Pasta Party, the Marathon Night, and the "Mise en Perce" spectacle featuring light shows and fireworks. For the marathon distance, pace makers are provided for target times of 3h15, 3h30, 3h45, 4h, and 4h15.
Registration includes access to the Marathon Village, refreshments approximately every 5 km, and a finisher medal. For specific races, shuttle services are available to transport runners to starting locations or from peripheral parking lots.
