Marathon Gaspesia
The Marathon Gaspesia Promutuel Assurance is a road running event held in Percé, located in the maritime region of Quebec. The race features linear courses that follow the coastline, providing views of the sea throughout the competition. This event is sanctioned by Athlétisme Québec and has achieved Silver Label standards.
The event is organized around the "Pace du bonheur" philosophy, meaning there are no time limits or cut-off barriers, allowing participants to run at their own speed. For the various linear distance formats, optional bus transportation to the starting lines is available for participants.
The event includes a wide range of distances:
- Marathon (42.2 km)
- Half-Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10 km
- 5 km (available for adults and youth)
- 3 km Family Challenge (various age categories and adults)
- 1 km Défi des Écrevisses (specifically for children aged 2 to 10)
The courses are centered in downtown Percé and showcase the landscapes of the Gaspé Peninsula. The 2026 edition marks the 10th anniversary of this competition, which is part of the Gaspésia Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
