The Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc is a running event centered in Pauillac, France. The main event is a full marathon distance race that travels through the famous vineyards and estates of the region. A central feature of the event is its festive atmosphere, with participants encouraged to wear costumes. For the 40th edition in 2026, the chosen fancy dress theme is "The 80s!".
The course is notable for its extensive support and entertainment stations. It features:
- 42.195 km

- Approximately 20 "wine-tasting" stops (moderated tasting of local grand crus)
- 55 different animations and tasting points offering specialties such as oysters, steak, cheese, grapes, and ice cream
The weekend program begins on Friday at the COSEC in Pauillac with the Marathon Village and bib collection. Bus transfers are available between Bordeaux and Pauillac upon reservation. The event includes several social gatherings, such as the "Mille-Pâtes" evening and the "Pâtes à Caisses" dinner.
On race day, the festivities include a publicity caravan, Basque strength exhibitions, and a fireworks display in the evening. The weekend concludes on Sunday with a recovery walk in Saint Julien Beychevelle, limited to 3,000 participants, followed by a communal meal.
