Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc - Programme 2026
The Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc is organised over a weekend around Pauillac with events on the days surrounding 5 September 2026. Practical services include bib pickup and the Marathon Village at the COSEC of Pauillac, and official bus transfers between Bordeaux and Pauillac available by reservation. A Mille-Pâtes dinner at Château Beychevelle is reserved for 1450 guests, with entry controlled by a bracelet distributed at bib pickup. Additional evening events are scheduled in nearby communes.
On the marathon day the event keeps a festive atmosphere with a costume theme for 2026 titled "Les Années 80". The program includes a promotional caravan, departure animations, and the marathon itself. Along the course there are 22 points of refreshment, about twenty oeno-sport tests combining short wine tastings with sport, and 55 animation and tasting points offering oysters, entrecôte, cheese, grapes, ice cream and similar items. Awards are planned on the quays of Pauillac except in case of unfavourable weather. The Marathon Village near the Maison du Vin hosts tastings, exhibitors and food outlets throughout the day.
A post-race recovery walk is offered in Saint Julien Beychevelle on the Sunday with a participation fee and attendance limit; a meal under a tent at Château Beychevelle and a local gourmet village are also listed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
