Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc
The Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc is a long-distance running event held in the Pauillac region. The event is known for its festive atmosphere, emphasizing the "Spirit of Médoc" through thematic costumes and regional gastronomy. For the 40th edition in 2026, the chosen costume theme is "The 80s."

The course includes 22 refreshment stations and approximately 20 "oeno-sporting" tests, where participants can taste local grand crus in moderate quantities. Additionally, there are 55 various animations and tasting points offering local products such as oysters, steak, cheese, grapes, and ice cream.
The program spans three days. It begins with the opening of the Marathon Village and bib collection at the COSEC in Pauillac, followed by evening pasta parties. Race day includes a publicity caravan and musical entertainment along the route. Post-race activities feature a trophy ceremony on the quays, wine tastings, and a fireworks display. On the final day, a recovery walk is organized in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle for runners and their companions.
Logistical services include official bus transfers between Bordeaux and Pauillac, which are available upon reservation.
