Abalone Marathon de Nantes 24 and 25 April 2027
The Abalone Marathon de Nantes holds its 45th edition over the weekend of 24 and 25 April 2027 in Nantes. The event presents multiple races on largely urban courses that cross notable city sites including the Machines de l'île and the Parc des Expositions de La Beaujoire. The organiser describes the event as sporting and festive, with a focus on Nantes heritage and a 100% urban route.
Distances offered include:
- 42.195 km individual marathon with a reported elevation gain of D+ 235 m
- 42.195 km marathon relay by teams of 4 covering the full distance
- 21.097 km semi‑marathon with a reported elevation gain of D+ 115 m
- 10 km Les Foulées de l'éléphant nocturnal race with a reported elevation gain of D+ 55 m
Participant limits are indicated for some races: 7000 dossards for the marathon, 7000 for the semi‑marathon, 7000 for the 10 km and up to 500 teams for the corporate relay. The 10 km night event takes place around the Nefs of the Machines de l'île and features a DJ on site.
