Marathon de Magog
Marathon de Magog takes place in Magog in the Eastern Townships and features autumn scenery along the shores of Lake Memphremagog. The event is organized by Courir en Estrie at Parc des Braves, 375 rue Principale Ouest.
Offered distances include a children’s race and several road races:
- 1 km children race
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 42.2 km full marathon
Aid stations are placed every 2 to 3 km and provide water and Pro Circuit sports drink. Medical service is available and a shuttle may be provided for participants who abandon. Bibs are distributed on the days leading up to and during the event under the main tent at Parc des Braves. Live results are posted on sportchrono.com.
Several parking areas are within walking distance of the start, including Cabana, Du Moulin and Merry, plus nearby streets. After the race each finisher receives a medal, a souvenir gift and a post-race meal. There is an official podium for the top three men and women in each distance.
Event surplus food is donated to the Memphrémagog Food Bank and the Fondation de la Ruche. Used coats, windbreakers and shoes can be brought for local redistribution. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
