Marathon de La Rochelle Serge Vigot 2026
The event in La Rochelle brings together several running formats across a marathon weekend. The flagship race is the marathon over 42.195 km, a race held since 1991 and presented here for its 35th edition. The marathon is ranked second among French marathons on the FFA gold scale.
Other scheduled formats include a 10 km race that finishes at the foot of La Rochelle towers, a Duo format where two runners each complete a marathon loop, and a Challenge Entreprises relay made of four legs. Handisport events are included with races for visually impaired runners and a wheelchair semi marathon. A short community run called Chauffe Gambettes covers 4 km, is free and does not require registration, and includes a snack at the finish and prize draws.
The event features an event village, pasta party with live animation and an orchestra, and free shuttle buses between key venues. Organizers offer a marathon pack including coach travel to reduce carbon footprint, with seven coaches announced. The marathon entry fee is listed at 58 euros and has remained unchanged for four editions. Practical information on access, accommodation, results and the race regulations are provided by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
