Marathon de la Liberté
La 40th edition of the Marathon de la Liberté takes place as part of the Normandy Running Festival from 10 to 13 June 2027. The program groups several races that follow routes linked to the events of D Day and crosses a set of historic towns. The event reports large participation figures and on-site services: about 30 000 participants, 6 events, 74 nationalities, 17 historic towns traversed, 60 000 spectators, and 26 fan zones.

Practical information highlighted by the organizers: the Village Expo at the Parc des Expositions de Caen is a free area for exhibitors and partners and is the point for individual bib pickup. Parking for cars and bicycles is free during the event period. Bib pickup policies require presentation of a complete file (FFA licence or Pass Prévention Santé PPS), an identity document and the bib number; pickup is in person for most races and relay teams must have at least one member collect team bibs. A participant wristband will be issued at bib pickup and must remain visible except for La Rochambelle participants who are exempt from some provisions. No safety pins are supplied on site.
Participation requires a justificatif d’aptitude: adults 18 and over must present an accepted FFA licence or a PPS; minors present a licence or a one race health attestation after completing the required questionnaire. Dates to transmit documents differ for team and individual entries. Live tracking is available via the official timing partner Breizh Chrono.
