About the race
The Mar a Mar Trail is a three-stage trail running event in Baja California Sur, Mexico, that crosses the Sierra de la Laguna from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific coast. The route links coastal terrain, mountain trails and beach approaches over consecutive stages.
The event includes participant entry, a competitor kit, two nights of camp accommodation and cash prizes. The published starting price per person is $12,760 MXN. The edition shown is scheduled for 3 to 6 December 2026 and lists an expected field of about 1100 participants.
Logistics are organized around multi-day trail travel with overnight camp stays between stages. Terrain types implied by the route include coastal sections and mountain trails through the Sierra de la Laguna; elevation changes and varied surfaces should be expected on a coast-to-coast format.
This description avoids specific start or finish times. It states the main services provided by the event and the general character of the route so participants can assess the multi-stage, overnight trail format and the basic inclusions.
