Event Overview
The ATW Mallory Park Triathlon takes place at the Mallory Park Circuit in Leicestershire. This event incorporates a qualifier for the 2027 European Age Group Sprint Triathlon Championships. The venue is a traffic-free motorsport circuit featuring its own enclosed lake and smooth tarmac surfaces.
Distances & Formats
Two triathlon formats are offered:
- Non-drafting Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 10km bike (4 laps of a 2.5km circuit), 2.5km run (2 laps of a 1.25km course).
- Draft-Legal Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike (8 laps of a 2.5km circuit), 5km run (4 laps of a 1.25km course).
The Sprint distance race is draft-legal, meaning time-trial bikes, disc wheels, flat-bar bikes, and aero-bars are not permitted for that format.
Course Details
The race begins with a single-lap swim in the lake at the centre of the circuit. Participants then transition on a hard-standing area. The bike leg consists of multiple laps on the closed, smooth 2.5km race circuit. The run course uses the circuit's back straight and paddock area for laps on a flat, closed circuit. The venue has hosted rounds of the British Triathlon Super Series and GB Elite selection races.
