Malad Valley Marathon
The Malad Valley Marathon is a running event in Malad City, Idaho, with multiple distances that start and finish at Malad City Park. The 2026 race is the inaugural edition and is scheduled for September 12, 2026; the event normally takes place on the second Saturday of September.

The half marathon and full marathon courses are about half hard-packed dirt and half asphalt. The 5K and 10K run entirely on paved farm roads. The route follows the valley floor and is framed by the Bannock Range to the east and the Sublett Range to the west.
Support on course includes aid stations roughly every 2 to 3 miles stocked with GU and water, first-aid kits at aid stations, and chip timing provided for the 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon. Finishers in the 5K, 10K, half, and full distances receive a finisher medal. A race shirt is included for entries paid by the shirt cutoff date of August 29, 2026.
