About the race
The Mairéad Meehan Memorial Run is a chipped and timed 5 km event held in Caltra to raise funds for Galway Hospice. The event has a permit (cert.no: 26/579) and uses the usual Caltra leg of the Galway 5 km Series, described by the organiser as a fast route.

A commemorative medal is included for all finishers. A free 42K celebratory t-shirt is provided to the first 400 registrants. Race number and t-shirt can be posted in advance or collected from Caltra Community Centre on the day before the race or on the morning of the event.
