About the race
The Mail Pouch Mile event is a one-day race gathering held on 08/22/2026 in Carney, Michigan at W6066 G 18 Rd, ZIP 49812. The event program includes two separate competitions on the farm property.
The first event is the Farm 5K. It is a casual trail race on wooded double-track trails behind the farm. The trails are described as relatively flat. Registration for the 5K is free and opens 05/14/2026 and closes 07/21/2026.
The second event is the Mail Pouch Beer Mile. The beer mile follows an out-and-back route on a gravel driveway consisting of four 0.25 mile laps that start and finish at the Mail Pouch barn. Beer is provided unless a participant brings four unopened cans or bottles of at least 12 oz and at least 5% ABV. Each competitor drinks four beers and runs four laps in alternating order, and beer must be consumed before each lap within the transition area. Vomiting before finishing requires one penalty lap after the fourth lap. The beer mile follows official Beer Mile rules except that it does not take place on a 400 m running track. Registration for the beer mile is free and has the same opening and closing dates. All beer mile participants must be 21 years or older.
