Mahone Bay Reindeer Fun Run
The Mahone Bay Reindeer Fun Run is the 8th annual festive run and walk held in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia on December 5, 2026. The event takes place along Main Street and features a 3 km run/walk through the town.
The event is part of the Season of Father Christmas and raises funds for the Bayview School Student Equity Fund and the Mahone Bay District Fire Department. Music will be played along the route and participants are offered hot chocolate and cookies at the finish.
All registered entries receive reindeer antlers and a red nose; entries age 16 and up also receive an Amos Pewter Blitzen ornament. Run kits are distributed from a central pickup location on Main Street on the event day. Children under eight must be accompanied by a registered adult. Dogs are not permitted to participate.
Registration is offered in age categories with limited spots and a no refunds policy. Fee categories listed for the event include a free entry option for under eight, a youth fee for under 16, and an adult fee for 16 and up. Oak Island Resort offers a reduced accommodation rate for participants through the resort’s reservation process.
