Magna 4th of July Run
The Magna 4th of July Run is an annual community event held in Magna, Utah. This traditional holiday gathering features a 5k distance (3.1 miles) available for both runners and walkers. Hosted by the organization Magna Loves 2 Run, the event serves as a festive start to the Independence Day celebrations in the local area.
The course is located at Magna Copper Park, which serves as both the starting point and the finish line for the participants. The event is open to participants of all ages, with specific age group categories established for both male and female divisions. These brackets begin for children under 12 and continue in five-year increments up to 80 years and older.
Participants in the 5k run or walk receive several items as part of their registration:
- An official event T-shirt
- A finisher's medal
- A breakfast ticket
The breakfast ticket provides access to a chuck wagon breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus. Registration fees are tiered based on age groups, with specific rates for adults aged 20 and older, teenagers aged 15-19, and children 14 and under. The event is supported by various local community partners and health organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
