Magalies Rocks the Cradle : Gravel, MTB and Trail at Die Krip, Magaliesburg
Magalies Rocks the Cradle takes place on Saturday 5 September 2026 at Die Krip Guest Farm in the Magaliesburg foothills. The event offers both cycling and trail running/walking options and is part of the 2026 Stellantis Adventure Series and the Luxliner Schools Series.
The cycling routes are predominantly gravel with some tar; a gravel bike is ideal but a mountain bike is also suitable. Routes feature flowing farm roads, wide views and mostly non-technical terrain. GPX files are available for selected routes, including a 45 km file, and most routes are clearly marked.
The trail run and walk follow private farm roads, jeep tracks and quiet district roads. The trail courses are described as non-technical, offering steady terrain and countryside views for runners and walkers.
The event forms part of the Die Krip Landboufees, which includes agricultural and lifestyle exhibitors, live music, tractor demonstrations, food stalls, craft beer and local produce. Entries include event and series medals, full medical support, water tables, shower facilities, complimentary downloadable photos and complimentary Landboufees entry. Race number pickup is available at local cycle shops before the event and at Die Krip on the event day.
