Event Information
The Madeline Island Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026. It is set on a rural island within the Apostle Islands of Wisconsin.
Distances
The event offers two race distances:
- Marathon (42.2 km)
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
Registration is limited to 150 participants for the marathon and 350 for the half marathon. Both races are expected to fill to capacity.
Course Details
Both courses are loop routes with a common start and finish line, featuring out-and-back portions. The terrain is mostly paved with small sections of packed gravel. Both courses are USATF certified, and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
