Event Overview
The Made in the USA Half Marathon is part of a multi-distance race held on the Saturday before the 4th of July. The event takes place in Sugar Hill, Georgia, on a route described as the "beautiful Greenway."
Event Details
The race offers several distances, with the Half Marathon being one of four main in-person options. The course is an out-and-back route on a greenway, with the half marathon consisting of a double loop. All distances start and finish next to Sugar Hill Distillery.
Participants must maintain a minimum pace of 16 minutes per mile. Self-serve water stations are available approximately every 1.5 miles along the course.
Registration and Perks
Active Duty Military and First Responders with valid ID receive a free race entry, to be verified at bib pickup. The first 500 registered participants receive a custom finisher medal; this medal is the second in a three-part "Patriotic Series." Participants registered by a specified date are guaranteed a race shirt in their size. Awards are given for top finishers across multiple categories, including overall, masters, and age groups.
Virtual race options are available for all distances. Team registrations of five or more people receive a discount on entry fees.
Logistics
Early packet pickup is available the day before the race at a location in Sugar Hill. Packet pickup is also available on race morning beginning one hour before the start.
