Mad Trapper Relentless - Denholm, QC
Mad Trapper Relentless is a fall trail and ultra event held at The Ark in Denholm, Quebec, north of Ottawa in the Gatineau Hills. Races use a privately maintained network of forest singletrack and gravel roads. Terrain includes technical singletrack, rocks, roots, climbs, descents, tight turns and changing rhythm between trail and gravel sections.

The 21K, 30K and 50K distances are recognised on the UTMB Index and carry ITRA recognition: the 21K and 30K each earn 1 ITRA point and the 50K earns 2 ITRA points. The 30K and 50K begin with an 18K gravel road prologue; the 50 Mile starts with a shuttle to Kazabazua and a flat Trans Canada Trail section back to The Ark before mixed singletrack and gravel loops.
There are no cutoff times. Registered runners may camp for free at The Ark in a rustic wilderness campsite that provides flat tenting areas, outhouses, a firepit, drinking water, and warm outdoor showers for a small fee. Courses are clearly marked with different colours for each distance and leaves are cleared from the route before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
