About the race
The Luzerner Stadtlauf is a city running event in Lucerne that presents itself as the largest running festival in Central Switzerland. The event routes run through the Luzern old town and include multiple competition categories with distances between 1.5 km and 7.2 km.
The 49th edition is scheduled for Saturday, 24 April 2027. Recent editions attracted a large number of finishers and spectators; the 48th edition recorded 15,222 finishers and about 40,000 spectators, and included a Solidaritätslauf that raised 21,715 Swiss francs for a local Alzheimer association.
The event program comprises a variety of individual and team categories such as the Musegg Classic, Altstadt Classic, Row & Run, junior categories U12–U18, Altstadt fun races, the Solidaritätslauf, and (Nordic) walking. There are also team offerings for companies, schools, and clubs, plus family group options.
