Event Overview
The Lundy Elementary Roar & Run is an annual community event taking place in El Paso, Texas. The "Sweet 16 Edition" features multiple ways to participate, including timed running and fitness activities. Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run / Walk
The event also offers a "Sleep In" option for those who wish to support the cause without attending the physical race. Registered participants who sign up by April 1, 2026, receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal.
Course and Atmosphere
The race is held at Lundy Elementary School, located on High Ridge. Following the completion of the runs, the venue hosts a Cool Down Community Market. This post-race gathering includes various local vendors and food trucks for participants and spectators.
Recognition and Awards
The 5K event provides trophies to the first three individuals to cross the finish line. Additionally, medals are awarded to the top male and female finishers in various age categories, ranging from 11 up to 70 and over.
Academic and group achievements are also recognized with trophies for top male and female students in each grade level from PreK through 5th grade.
